Hermetic Rush Services would like to inform residential owners of the gradual phasing out of the refrigerant R-22. In 2010, supplies will be more limited and starting in 2020 new R-22 will no longer be produced. At that time, consumers will need to rely solely on recycled or stockpiled quantities to service any systems still using R-22.

R-22 is being phased out because it is a hazard to the ozone layer, and new non-ozone-depleting alternatives are being introduced and becoming more common.
